Abstract
In experimental aspergillosis in chicken, infection were used.
1. Intracro Infect ion:
two routes of
Chickens were divided into 3 groups, each of 30 chicken. Chickens of the first group received 100.000 spore 3 succesive days. The second group received 300,000 spore in one dose while the third one received 100.000 spore in one dose,
The pathological changes resulting from different doses had no significant variation and no mortality was detected.
In the intestines, the pathological findings were hyperp— lasia of the epithelial and lymphoid elements; ulcerative en— teritis and productive enteritis.
In the livers, dystrophic changes of hepatic cells; productive cellular reaction mostly interlobular in distribution o.s well as hyperplasia of the bile ducts were observed.
In the lungs, hyperplasia of the bronchial lymph follicles as well as inter and intralobular productive cellular reaction of lymphoid type were also noticed.
In the kidneys, tubular neprosis, mesengial cell proliferation of the glomeruli and foc.al productive reaction were also detected.
In the spleens, the pathological findings were only lymphoid hyperplasia of both puips. The hearts revealed focal myo— carditis. Also muscular and subcutanous heamorrhages were noticed
II. Intratracheal Infection:
Thirty chickens were infected intratrachealy by 5000 spores for each one. Fatal pneumomycosis was developed and 21 chickens were died, Beside the productive reaction of the lungs, poduc— tive reaction in the trachea and air sacs were also noticed.
In the livers, the pathological findings were moetly
dystrophic and vascular in natures.
In the kidneys, tubular nephrosis with slight rnesengial cell proliferation and focal areas of productive reaction were also found,
In the spleens, there was lymphoid necrosis in some chickens while mild reticular cell proliferation was also noticed. in other birds.
