Abstract
The Experimental Work In This Thesis Can be Divided Into Three Main Phases.In The First Part, The Genetic Regulation Of Lichenase ExPression In B. Subtilis Was Investigated Using A Characterised Group Of Some Mutations In The Genes Encoding Regulatory Proteins. The Second Part Deals With The Optimisation Of Culture Medium For Maximal Enzyme Production. Finally, The Utilisation Of Some Agro- Industrial By-Products For Lichenase Production Was Also Investigated.
