Abstract Postmenopausal bleeding is often the first and main symptom of endometrial cancer. So detection of the cause of the postmenopausal bleeding should be considered. Transvaginal ultrasonography and Doppler have become of great diagnostic value. These non invasive procedures are considered excellent initial screening methods in patients with postmenopausal bleeding before doing the invasive fractional curettage. The aim of this study to assess the value of combined examination using both transvaginal ultrasonography and Doppler velocimetric study of the uterine artery to increase the diagnostic accuracy in cases with postmenopausal bleeding and to decrease as much as possible the false results that may occur in either of them alone. |
