Abstract

The Nugrus -Sikait area lies in the southeren part of the Eastern Desert of Egypt at boundary Between Centeral Eastern desert (CED) and the Southeren Eastern Deseret (SED).
It is limited by latitudes by 24 35 00 and 24 41’ 22 ”N and longitudes 34” 44’ 13” and 34” 49’ 30” E.
NSA companies metmorphic exposures which are mainly represented by two nappes )pelitic, para-amphilbolite and cataclastics assemblages) separeted by ophiolitic mélange. These rock associations are intruded by intercratonic association (Gabbroic and granitic).
The analydis of Field observations of structural patterns stylers, overprinting relationship bedetween the different structural fabrics, where each rock assemblages show its own tetonic print revealed that Nugrus-Sikait complex underwent five distinct episodes of deformation (from D1 to D5). the D1 episode forms an isoclinal E-W folding (F1) and penetrative axial planar foliationa(S1). D1 fabrics were reworked by D2 deformation around E-W trending Dfi axes the s3 deformation was accompained by the development of NW-SE verging asymmetric fold and the accompanying thrust faults. D1 to D3 are found to be coherent with metamorphism.
