Abstract
The present study was carried out as a survey searching for the possible trotozoal parasites that can infect freshwater fishes in Behera governorate0
152 alive fish specimens were collected from natural f’i1e resources (Rashid branch) and Earseek aquacultre as well as Edfina markets at .Behera go— vernorate, during the nc-nod from 1 Augost (1986) till last July (1987)
The collected fish specimens represented 61 of Til— apis spp. , 51 of Clanias spp. , 16 of Cyprinous car— pio and 4 of synodontis spp.
Examination of the investigated fish species in this study revealed that feshwater fishes exposed to a great deal of protozoalparasites which have a disease effect on the host fish with subsecuent economic losses0
Identification of such parasites, their incidence as well as seasonal variations are carried out in this study and can be illustrated as the following.
