Abstract The present work covered blood parasites prevailing among ruminant animals in Assiut Governorate. These animals include cattle, buffaloes, sheep, goats and camels. Two hundred and ten (210) buffaloes and one hundred ninety three (193) cattle of different ages, sex and breed were examined. Nine buffaloes (4.3%) and eight cattle (4.1%) were found positive for Babesia bigemina. Twelve buffaloes (5.7%) and twelve cattle (6.2%) were found positive for Theileria annulata. |
