Abstract

Cardiopulmonary resuscitation is one of the most emergency management and the nurse has a pivotal role and should be highly qualified in performing this procedures.Cardiopulmonary resuscitation is a combination of rescue breathing and chest compressions delivered to patient thought to be in cardiac arrest. When cardiac arrest occurs, the heart stops pumping blood. CPR can support a small amount of blood flow to the heart and brain to “buy time” until normal heart function is restored.Nurses play a key role in the management of cardiac arrest in hospital.Often they are first on the science of an arrest – initiating cardiopulmonary resuscitation as well as summoning assistance from the “advanced life support/ arrest” team
