Abstract
Aim of this work is to study the role of three-dimensional conformal radiation therapy in hepatocellular carcinoma . 3DCRT induced a good tumor response rate of 55% with survival rates at 1and 2 years of 55%, 35% respectively, and a median survival time of 19 months in patients with unresectable HCC . With the advance of this radiation technique, local radiation applied to the liver has become safer. The complications are acceptable and can be managed with conservative treatment. Further studies are required to evaluate the survival and responce of such patients with and without this treatment.
