Abstract The current study researched the effectiveness of the activities based on individualized instruction in developing prep pupils’ writing skills and their interest in English. The techniques used were: ability grouping, giving different assignments and providing self-access material. Self- assessment and peer assessment were also used. All the activities were matched to the pupils’ abilities and preferences which were explored through a questionnaire, a self-checklist, etc….. The study proved the effectiveness of individualized activities in developing the pupils’ writing skills but there was not enough evidence of their effectiveness in developing the pupils’ interest in English. |
