Abstract 1- 1500 eggs from different iocalaties in Upper Egypt were examined bacteriologically from the outer surface and content and proved to be free from Mycobacterium avium and other anonymous Mycobacteria. 2- Four methods were used for treating the eggs and it was proved that modified Petroff’s method is the others. 3- It was also proved that ogawa egg media is the best one for Mycobacterium avium. 4- For identification of the microorganism several methods were used as: A- Cutlure screening tests on several tuberculostatic agent as acetamide, benzamide, carbamide, nicotinamide and sodium salicylate were proved as useful tests for distinguishing anonymous mycabecteria including mycbacterium avium from other acid fast bacilli. B- Biochemical tests were used as a trial for identification as niacin test, peroxidase test and nitrate reduction test. The strain proved to be only catalase positive at different temperature but niacin, nitrate reduction and peroxidase negative. C- The avian strain was tested against many tuberculostatic drugs as streptomycin, paraammino salicylic acid. |
