Our study revealed that red cell distribution width has a high sensitivity and specificity as a diagnostic test for lOA (83.31 %,76.2%) respectively. And that MCV -ROW combination for diagnosis of lOA is 95.0% sensitive, 83.3% specific and has efficiency of 92% as a diagnostic test for IDA. Each case was subjected to the following: 1- Full nutritional history. 2- Full anthropometric measures. 3- Hemoglobin level. |
