Abstract

The present study involved clinical and laboratory investigations of 110 fattening cattle and buffalo-calves aged 8-24 months from fattening sations, small private farms, veterinary clinics and abattoirs in Assiut Governorate. Seventy calves (70) were suffering from urinary tract disorders. However, 40 fattening calves were clinically healthy and showed no clinical or laboratory abnormalities and kept as control group. The present investigation declared that, the most common urinary tract disorders in the examined fattening calves and those admitted for slaughtering were in the order of urolithiasis (54.30%); yrolithiasis with ruptured bladder (17.10%); pyelonephritis (15.60%) and cystitis (13.0%).
