Abstract
The aim of this work is to provide a review of literature about diagnosis & treatment of premature ejaculation.Premature ejaculation is the inability to control ejaculation for a sufficient length of time during vaginal penetration), premature ejaculation has been demonstrated to have substantial impact on quality of life for patients and their partners. Men who have report having premature ejaculation typically also report greater dissatisfaction with sexual intercourse , impaired sexual relationship and difficulties discussing their sexual problems overall than men who do not. LSt cells appear to play a vital role in the generation and regulation of ejaculatory behavior. Additional elucidation of this ”ejaculation generator” could prove invaluable for the future treatment of male sexual dysfunction. Studies are currently in progress to further reveal the precise function of these cells and mechanisms of action through which they operate. Excess thyroid hormone and premature ejaculation are clinically interrelated conditions. Hyperthyroidism should be considered a novel and reversible etiological risk factor for premature ejaculation.
