Abstract
Found that spacing the plants at the widest distance (40 cm) and using N4P4K4 followed by N3P3K3 treatment resulted in increasing vegetative growth traits, and improving flowering head aspects and chemical composition of sunflower var. ”Sunrich Orange” plants. Therefore, it is recommended, economically and environmentally to spacing the plants at 40 cm and supply these plants with N3P3K3 fertilization rate (150 kg ammonium nitrate, 33.5 % N, 225 kg calcium superphosphate, 15.5 % P2O5 and 75 kg potassium sulphate, 48 % K2O) in order to improve the vegetative growth and flowering head aspects of sunflower var. ”Sunrich Orange” plants, for local market. While for exportation , it could be recommended to spacing the plants at 20 or 30 cm and fertilizing these plant with N3P3K3 fertilization level .
