Abstract
In our study, we gain the confidence with TIP usethroplasty as an ideal procedure for management of primary and recurrent hypospadias in distal and proximal types.
- TIP urethroplasty has good cosmotic outcome with versitile technique can be easily learned and applied.
- The success of operation and good results depends upon.
1- Effective relaxing incision in healthy urethral plate.
2- To avoid meatal stenosis, no more stitches beyond the level of middle glanular level.
3- Oval meatus (slit like) should be constructed.
- degloving of penile skin and artificial erection test is beneficial in detecting then treating chordee.
- Management of complications after TIPU is simple and redo can be safely performed after failure of primary repair as long as intact urethral plate is present and second layer coverage is made.
- Routine post operative dilatation is not necessary unless weak stream due to stricture or meatal stenosis is present
