Abstract

These days thinking big is the travel and tourism industry favorite task. The global uavel and tourism industry in a very fast moving business.companies are being formed and dissolved as well as acquired, merged and sold almost daily
A wave of mergers is sweeping the travel industry in Europe. especially those among tour operators.
All players are racing to consolidate into giant groupings with global ownership, global reach and global resources.
All companies are looking for ways to hang on their customers.
Moreover, these giant firms assure that survival is for the fittest It is clearly obvious that the quickest way to grow in business is to grow through mergers. When companies merge, the good news gets all the attention greater efficiency, growth potential, and increases in profitability. Merger is a way of spreading acquired competence into different companies, countries and specializing in different niches.
In spite of all the benefits that mergers can hold, the Egyptian tourism market site on the merger’s net is still in its primary stages. The Egyptian travel agencies have to choose either actual sharing in these mergers or just clapping for winners to pay the price after the game. They would have to bear all the consequences if they do not have a place in the merger theatre. They should realize the importance of these mergers to keep their own share in the tourism market in their hands.
