Abstract

This thesis discusses ”The bronze of power in de Egyptian Museums”. This tople has been choose due on the por appearance of the bronze statuettes depicting this child god in the ele and Graeco-Roman Periods. This alludes to the importancer of the of this deity during the aforementioned periods
The statuettes of Harpocrites were made in different such as marble, limestone, wood, terracotta and bronzes which in the concern of this thesis.
Bronze as a material is by definition an alloy of copper and When tin is added to copper it reduces its melting point, makes it ceter to be shaped, in addition to reducing the ability of the pore copper in absorbing gases from ai * r ^ 2 so bronze was preferred than pare oppe making statues, equipments and tools. The oldest example of using bronze in Egypt dates to the 3 ^ 13 Dynasty, however, the genent use of bronze was not attested before the 18 deg Dynasty
During the Late and the Graeco-Roman Periods, the use of onze in making statues was widespread, most of these statues সভাত সর্বনিক statues, offered to temples by donors whose names were sometimes inscribed around the bases of these statues. Bronze statuary were made.
