Abstract
Prevalence of diseases in children depends on variable factor such as mother education, father education, special habits in the community, nature of weather in the area, nature of food and water, sewage disposal, health care provided to community, health education provided to the community,Dahab is a city far from Cairo about 550 kilometer have mixed community between Bedouin (original people of the city) and migrates (from other governorates) so Dahab city has mixed community of education and special habit.Bedouin group have less educated and own special habits but also have more immunity due to nature desert live. Migrates group have more educated and rural special habits.However, the mixed community of Dahab city they share in drinking of stored water and spread of preserved food (due to desert nature of Sinai and no agriculture in Sinai), poor health care and health education provided in the city The aim of this work is to study the prevalence of common pediatric diseases in Dahab city in all age groups (infant – preschool – school).This was cross sectional study done at Dahab city to evaluate the prevalence of acute and chronic disease among children from the beginning of December 2008 till the end of November 2009 The examined group was 1193 child at different age groups from 1 day to 15 years old. Children we subdivide those children to 3 groups
