Abstract
Treatment of 4-amino -6methy1-[ 1,2,4 ] triazin-3,5 (2H,4H )-dithione (1) with methy1 iodide in the presence of sodium methoxide at r.t. yielded 4-amino-6-methy1-3-methylthio- [ 1,2,4] triazine-5(4H)- thione (2) which on refluxing with hydrazine hydrate in methanol afforded 4-amino-3-hydrazino-6-mehty1-4H-[ 1,2,4] triazine-5(4H)-thione(3).
