Abstract Storage of natural gas is the challenge to use natural gas as an alternative fuel to liquid fuel. Natural gas is an environmentally clean fuel and cheaper than gasoline. ANG refers to adsorption natural gas which represents an alternative method for storing natural gas at low pressure. Light weight cylinder and cheaper capital cost assist this trend as a promising alternative to CNG. The present thesis aims to study the parameters affecting on thermal management of discharge (desorption) process of natural gas Very interesting results are obtained when experiments are run on ANG system. The most important results are that: the ANG system had a better performance and showed a 27% improvement in fuel consumption rate. Besides, the exhaust emissions when using the ANG system were virtually identical to those of the CNG system. This chapter is followed by the conclusion made from the present work. The thesis is ended with references and Arabic summary. Supervisor Prof Dr. |
