The basic purpose of the local organizations is to pro— rural people with the needed aml practical services so they improve their ttandasd level of living uzore eff Ic— Ltiy. Participation in Suob. organizations provides an opp— 1ttnity to learn about new nwthods and also indicates an reness of the need for collective action on the part of
rural people to obtain better services and to improve Leir living conditions.
