Abstract SUIdEJARY This work carried out in th experiEnental farm of AJsit Univesity during the yecx 1979/80 and 1980/81. It was done to find ot the effect of some rootstooks and Sulfur application on grovth, flovier yield and nutrient Status of two cominerical rose scions. ueen Elizabeth and f €1 To-:er adult plants were Used as scions. Each of the two scions ws budded on R. multiflora, It. Dr._Hucy, Ii. canina as well as on its ow roots • A split—split—plot design was used• Plants received three sulfur treatments as fine powder at the rate of 0,350 and 700 gins. S/plant representüd control, low level and high level, respectively. Each treatment was divided into 7 equal doses one every month from September to March. Samples of leaves wsre taken on February (winter flush) and on May (spring flush) during each season for ohemical analysis. The nutrient elements studied were; sulfur, phosphorus, potassium, oalciL1m, magnesiwn and iron.
