This thesis included 60 morbidly obese patients with metabolic syndrome the patients were selected according to the following criteria 1- Age 18-60 years 2- BMI 35 kg/m2 3- Patients with metabolic syndrome 3 risk factors 4- No alcoholism or severe psychic problem 5- No endocrinal causes for obesity 6- Patients agree for life long follow up Sweat eaters were grouped for LRYGB while the other patients bulk eaters) were classified according to high socioeconomic level were grouped for LAGB (Swedish type) and the other patients are grouped and those with odd numbers were grouped for LVBG whileة those with even numbers were grouped for LSG. The post operative follow up was for 12 months.
