Abstract Four experimental studies were conducted at the rimenta]. farm o± floriculture of the University of gsiut, to investigate the effect of GA3, MH, soil ao— end NPK, and N fertilization in three types o± 4] on the vegatative growth and flowering of tuberose The following results could be arrived : Soaking of tuberose bulbs in GA3 uolutions resu in delaying flowering, higher yield of flowering , wider stalk diameter, heavier stalk weight , number of florets per spike end basal leaves, number of bulbs and bu1b1et produced and heaver bulb weight compared with the foliar spray or Qrption through the leaf blade methods. On the other the later method produced the longest flowering stalks and spikes. The used conoentrations ci’ GA3 (1000 up to 8000 ptn.) did not affeot the flowering date, yield of infi— orsoences, stalk length and diameter, and spike length. he highest conc. (8000 ppm.) resulted in reduction of stalk weight, number of florets per spike and number of a]. leaves. Mean while, the 4000 ppm. Cono. with bulb soaking |
