Abstract This eerirnent was conducted over a period of two years ( 1964 and 1965 ) in the orchard of Assiut University to study the effect of twelve different treatments of fertilizer applications on the yield and quality of fruits regarding : total soluble solids, reducing , non—reducing, total sugars , starch and soluble pectins in Meet Ghsr peaches • One peach tree was assigned for each treatment in a split plot design .with three replications for each treat-. ment The twelve treatments used were composed of : three levels of nitrogen , No , N1 and N2 two levels of phosphorus , P0 and P1 and two levels of potassium . K0 and K1 as follows : — 1— No chemical fertilizer was applied 2— N0 P0 K1 240 is of K20 applied as potassium sulphate 180 gas of P2 0 applied as calcium supephosphate 4— N0 P1 K1 = 180 gas of 2 applied as calcium supephosphate ÷ 240 gas of 1C20 applied as potassium sulphate 5— N1 = 206 gas of inorganic nitrogen applied as amonium sulphate |
