Abstract Seizures or epilepsy in children is a chronic disorder or a group of chronic disorders in which the indispensable feature is recurrence of seizures that are typically unprovoked and usually unpredictable. Epilepsy is considered be present when two or more unprovoked seizures occur at an interval greater than 24hr apart. Although seizures are the cardinal manifestation of epilepsy, not all seizures imply epilepsy. Cerebral palsy describe a group of permanent disorders of the development of movement and posture, causing activity limitation, that are attributed to non progressive disturbances that occurred in the developing fetal or infant brain. The motor disorder of cerebral palsy are often accompanied by disturbances of sensation , perception, cognition, communication, behavior, epilepsy, and secondary musculoskeletal problems. |
