Abstract 1011 milk samples from 406 lactating animals , were examined clinically for clinical mastitis , the clinical mastitis prevalence rates among cows , ewes and goats were 187 , 11 and 124 respectively Subclinical mastitis was detected using (CMT) which detected incidences of 52 , 50 and 558of the examined apparently normal cows , ewes and goats , respectively Escherichia coli pathogen was isolated from 51 (1076) milk samples out of 474 examined mastitic ones Serotyping of 12 strains of E coli revealed detection of O157 , O125 , O63 , O159 , O153 , O18 , O126 , O26 , O115 , two polyvalent 3 and one polyvalent 2 E coli strains The virulence tests were performed on E coli strains isolated from mastitic cases. |
