Abstract
In the present study, Ten leptospiral strains were used for the detection of leptospiral agglutinins in a total of two hundered and one (201) serum samples were collected from cattle suffering from infertility, abortion, still birth and / or mastitis using MAT. The results of leptospiral serodiagnosis in cows suffering from infertility showed positivity against
L. Canicola, L. Grippotyphosa, L. Pomona, L. Icterohaemorrhagiae, L. Wolffi and L. Australis at rates of21.3%, 17.07%, 14.02%, 12.8%, 7.92% and 4.26%, respectively in titer ~1:200 and 51%, 37%, 16.2%, 16.2%, 13.5% were found against L. Pomona,
L. Canicola, L. Icterohaemorrhagiae, L. Grippotyphosa and L. Wolffi, respectively in case of mastitic cowsin titer ~1 :200. On the other hand mixed seropositivitis were detected with one or more serovars in the same samples in different percentages.
