Abstract 1-This study was applied on 360 samples of serum, liver, kidneys, lung, heart and spleen of cattle, buffaloes and sheep (20 from each) which were collected directly after being slaughtered at El-Bastin abattoir” Cairo”. Samples were examined for the detection of estardiol 17 β , testosterone which were within the permissible limits. While, some of the examined samples were contain certain antibiotic residues. 2-Experimentally; 48 Boskat rabbits received different doses of estradiol 17 β and testosterone as well as oxytetracycline and chloramphenicol. Samples were collected from their blood, muscle, liver, kidneys and lung for detection of hormonal and antibiotic residues which proved the presence of such residues in all samples. 3-By thermal treating of positive samples (boiling and freezing) , it was proved that all hormonal residues were not affected in all samples , while antibiotic residues were affected by boiling but not by freezing . 4-Public health importance of hormonal and antibiotic residues was discussed. |
