Abstract
Tuberculosis considered as a major disease problem in human and veterinary medicine. In this study one monoclonal antibody (MAb) was produced against purified protein derivative of Mycobacterium bovis reacted in Western blot test with a single band of 66 kDa. This MAb was used in competitive ELISA as a diagnostic tool and by comparing the results of competitive ELISA and indirect ELISA it revealed high specificity and sensitivity of competitive ELISA than indirect ELISA which make it a good diagnostic tool for diagnosis of tuberculosis. from the results of this study it is recommend that the development of such a diagnostic tool for diagnosis of bovine tuberculosis for better control of the disease spread and ultimately eradication of the disease with minimum cost.
