Abstract
In this study a trial to investigate the updating situation of IL TV infection among chickens specially broiler. Isolation and identification of the causative agents and using of PCR in diagnosis. Tracheal tissues are samples of choice used for examination from 20 flocks showing respiratory manifestation and expectoration of mucus stained with blood. Some flocks with history of vaccination and some with no vaccination against L TV infection. 16 samples prepared for inoculation on CAM of SPF eggs for isolation on ECE at age 11 - 13 days, 10 of them showed pock lesions differ in size from 3 - 5 mm in diameter and differ in shape scattered on the CAM. For isolation of L TV on T.C, preparation of CKC from SPF 3 weeks age chicks. Prepared samples suspect to be infected with L TV inoculated on CKC 7 of them showed CPE and intranuclear inclusion bodies. Samples suspect to be infected with L TV prepared for examination of indirect immunoflourescene antibody test on tracheal tissue and on CKC culture showed intranuclear flourescene colour.
