Abstract This study to investigate the bacteriological isolation of E. tarda from naturally infected fish for 480 fishes collected from El.Fayoum Governorate and identification of the isolated pathogen by different methods. One isolate of E. tarda were successfully isolated from naturally infected catfish with an incidence of 0.42%. Moreover, the pathogenesis of the isolated E. tarda was carried out by injection of catfish and Nile tilapia with E. tarda. Histopathologicl changes (catfish and Nile tilapia) and PCR for diagnosis of E. tarda in challenge catfish and Nile tilapia (liver& kidney and spleen) were also evaluated. |
