The importance of technical education is due to the fact that it is one basis of development bases. This is because it is more related with the environment as a result of its economic return and providing many of the required technical staffs to increase production and to enhance its quality.
from the researcher’s interviews with some responsibles in technical education, it was revealed that there is an interference in functions of both the headmaster and the deputy. Also functions and responsibilities are not clear for some deputies.

Therefor, conducting this study was necessary to recognize the effectiveness of carrying out the functions by the technical secondary school deputy.
Problem of the study :
The problem of the study is expressed in the following main question :
• What is the effectiveness of the technical secondary shool deputy’s functions in succeeding the educational process and how can these functions be enhanced ?
from this main question, there are sub-questions :
1-What are the functions of the technical secondary school deputy ?
2-What is the cut-off score at which the effectiveness of the school deputy’s functions is achieved ?
What is the effectiveness of the school deputy’s functions in the light of the technical secondary school teacher’s opinions ?
4- Are there statistical differences among the percentage ratio of technical teacher’s opinions that are related with the efficiency of the technical secondary school deputy ?
5- What are the problems that hinder the technical secondary school deputy from carrying out his
functions ?
and how can these problems be overcomed ?
Limitation of the study : Kalubia Governorate.
2-A sample of the present three system years from the technical secondary school’s deputies (industrial, agricultural & commerical) at Kalubia Governorate to recognize the problems that hinder their functions.
3-A sample from the technical secondary schools’s teachers with three years experience working with the present deputies.

Procedures of the study :
a)A theoretical study to survey the problem of the study,
the technical education and the technical secondary school deputy’s functions.
b)A field study about :
1-The effectiveness of the technical secondary
school deputy functions.
2-The problems that hinder the technical secondary
school deputy from carrying out his functions.
3-Results and recommendations that may help in overcoming the problems faced by the technical secondary school deputy in carrying out his
functions.
