Abstract The study was conducted on some sixty species belonging to different Ecologically distinguished habitats and these include:- (1) xerophytes, (2) mesophytes ( cultivated), (3) halophytes and (4) hyDROPhytes ( brackish ponds and banks of river nile habitats). The samples were collected from their niches in two climatically distinguished seasons: January- February-( the wet season ) and may- june ( the dry season) to show how these plants regulate their life in their habitats ( drought, high salinity, neutrient deficiencies…….etc) under the effect of contrasting climatic conditions. In this respect , different chemical analysis were carried out on extracts of leaves after being dried and ground. |
