Abstract
In this project we discuss the effect of two localized heaters in a closed rectangular cavity with laminar natural convection conditions.
The case deals with some parameters:
• The Rayleigh number varied from 102 to 106•
• Pr is constant as 0.72.
• The tilt angle from the horizontal is 90°.
• Aspect ratio is 1.
• Size ratio varied from 0.1 to 0.5.
• Position ratio for first heater is 0.25 & for second heater is 0.75.
We define the mathematical model and the boundary conditions after that we apply the Patanker main program for solving the governing equations plus the subroutine for the laminar natural convection in rectangular cavities with localized heaters.
The results are presented as streamlines and isothermal lines In graphical form.
