Potable or drinking water should obey standards in physico-chemical and microbial parameters including pH, turbidity, temperature, total dissolved solids and -microbes. Drinking water quality depends on the presence of an appropriate source to a treatment and disinfection facility of proper design, construction and operation and in tum delivered to the consumer through a protected distribution system in sufficient quality and pressure. (1) Different regions of the world are faced with different types of problems associated with the occurrence, use and control of water resources, which may endanger the sustainable development of these resources. The quality of source water is a very sensitive issue. Water treatment process should deliver the water quality parameters and also maintain the network distribution system. |
