Abstract
The purpose of the present study was to assess the physical and psychological nursing care provided for the mechanically ventilated patient’s and of deferent areas in which nursing care are lacking. To accomplish this purpose. The intensive care nurses where observed while providing care for thirty patients during the first two hours immediately after incubation any t~10 hours during: the afternoon shift and night shift in the intensive care unit.
The result obtained from the study showed that the efficiency of nursing care provided for the mechanically ventilated patient’s was in the following areas: assessment of cardiac-respiratory function. Central venous pressure. Arterial blood gases. aseptic technique.
