Abstract from the work presented in this thesis the strain in the main steel eq al to ·795 , 1115 and 1145 j’. strain for beams of concret~ cover of 7.5, 5 and 2.5 em, crack pattern occurres depends on the concrete cover. 7- The average spacing between flexural cracks in reinforced concrete beams made of the available local ~l- The maximum crack width in reinforced concrete beams increases as the distance of the point considered to the surface of nearest longitudinal bar increases. ~2- The crack widths in reinforced concrete beams ~ 3- The experimental test results gave no evidence that variation of concrete strength have significant effect on crack width. ~4- At the same stress in the main reinforcing bars, the maximum crack width increases, with the decrease of the effective percentage of reinforcement. 5- The relationship between the maximum crack width and the strain in the concrete surface at the level of up to 153 Of strain.
