Abstract
The area of um Hombos, is located south of qift Quseir road. The map area covers about 143 km of crystalline basement complex be3tween longitude 33 26 42 to 33 33 12 E and latitude 25 33 42 to 26 3 00 N. The present study deals with the geology structural setting, petrography and geochemistry of an ophioite suite and granites occurring at um hombos area.
