Abstract

HCC is one of the most common malignant tumors worldwide
Major risk factors associated with HCC include; HCV and HBV Infection
viruses, excess alcohol intake and aflatoxin B1 exposure.
HCC, with and without HCV infection, represents a major health problem
in Egypt, where the two pathological conditions are integrated in many
cases.
The present study was conducted to study the efficiency of serum
levels of IL 6, IL 10 and HGF as potential new tumor markers for
diagnosis of HCC in Egyptian patients.
The present study was conducted on 150 patients from in and
outpatient departments of National Liver Inastitute hospital. In addition to
a control group of 50 healthy adults.
