Abstract
The aim of the present study was to investigate the effect of implementing a selected nursing interventions as a prophylaxis against venous thrombosis in post operative patients.
The following hypotheses were formulated to fulfill the aim ofthe study:
1-There will be a significant statistical difference between pre and post test mean knowledge scores obtained by abdomina-pelvic patients at risk for development of DVT who are exposed to the prophylactic regimen.
2-There will be a significant statistical difference between pre and post test mean practice scores obtained by abdomina-pelvic patients at risk for development of DVT who are exposed to the prophylactic regimen.
