Abstract Teenager pregnancy is an area of great puplic concern because of the significant impact on communities and appear run a greater risk pregnancy from 13 to 19 years old. A descriptive study aiming to assess teenage pregnant women knowledge about antenatal needs and problems and the factors which affecting in their knowledge.The study was carried out on 203 teenagers pregnant women attending to antenatal clinics at MCH,P.H.C centers and EL-NASER hospital in port-said data were collected through a constructed interviewing questionnaire including three parts. The first part to collect data about general characteristics of the study sample. The second part ofor assessment, examination and complications during pregnancy and the third part for assess knowledge about needs and problems and it’s relations between their factors. The study revealed that the majority of the study sample had poor. Knowledge and problems during the current pregnancy. There was a statistically significant between their knowledge about antenatal needs and proplems with general characteristic, obstetric history and source of information. The study suggests that early marriage should be forbidden,girls education should be encourage and more than one program about teenage pregnancy must be established and mass media participation ara needed as well as improving access to antenatal care (ANC) services. |
