Abstract The present investigation was carried out with the aim of dying the effect of manganese, and iron application under levels of phosphatic fertilizer, on growth, yield and ld components ,fiber quality, and nutrients content of the ptian cotton, G. barbadense L., c.v. Dandara. The study was onducted at the Agricultural Experimental Farm of Assiut Unirersity, at Assiut, using complete Randomized Block design with plot area of 1/400 feddan. Seeds were sown on March 22, 29 Lnd 26 in 1981, 1982 and 198 seasons, respectively in hills spaced 20 cm on rows of 60 cm apart. The soil type was clay loam. All plants received the recommended amount of “N” fertilizers, i.e. 60 kg N/feddan. There were two rates of phosphatic fertilizer; zero and 45 kg P205/feddan in 1981 and 1982 seasons, while in 1983, the P rates were zero and 31 kg P205/ fed. The phosphorus fertilizer was added to the soil just befor sowing. Nervanid (14%)Mn , Nervanid (14%) Fe, these compounds were used as a source of manganese and iron in 1981 and 1982 seasons, while in 1983 season, the sulphate salt was used as a source of both elements. There were nine micronut— rientsin sole and combinations treatments. The following concentration from each element was applied in the three seasons: |
