Abstract

mcs represent a promising tool for new clinical concepts in supporting cellular therapy. BM was the first source reported to contain MSCs. Because of the ease of their isolation and their extensive differentiation potential, MSCs are among the first stem cell types to be introduced in the clinic. BM may be detrimental due to the highly invasive donation procedure and the decline in MSC number and differentiation Potential with increasing age. However, the mesenchymal stem cells seem to be hypoimmunogenic and thus allogenic mesenchymal stem cells transplantation is possible. POI is a heterogeneous syndrome defined as hypoestrogenic, hypergonadtropic , secondary amenorrhea that occurs in women under age of 40 years. Infertility is a chief problem that affects these women.
In this study we used intravenous BM-derived MSC injection into the rabbit ear vein to restore ovarian activity following chemotherapy induced ovarian failure. This study aims to clarify the impact of stem cells on ovarian function recovery. This recovery was evaluated by biochemical and histological parameters. Also, we detect the change in serum level of VEGF after stem cell transplantation to detect its role in the mechanism of MSC action.
This study included thirty mature healthy adult multiparous female balady black rabbits that weighed between 2500 and 3500 g were used. The age of the rabbits at the start of the study was 7 to 10 months. Rabbits were fed peleted complete ration for growing rabbit and water under controlled temperature (28c-30c). The rabbits were randomly divided into two equal groups’ of 15 rabbits each. Rabbits of both groups were subjected to induce ovarian failure using cyclophosphamide.
