Abstract
The present study was carried out at Maryout Research Station which belongs to Desert Research Center, Ministry of agriculture and land reclamation. The experimental animals were 60 of Barki sheep. The animal aged 12 months on average and housed indoors inside semi-closed pens.
The objectives of this work were to investigate the relationship between leather quality and each of (live weight of the animal, body dimensions, coat characteristics, histological and histochemical structure of skin). Also to decrease pollution or even complete elimination of the use of sodium sulfide in the dehairing process skin.
