Abstract Cloth manufacturing is considered as a chain process by which two dimensional fabric is transformed into a three dimensional garment through the seaming of the garment components together. For a certain type of fabric quality if the sewing process is not performed properly, the garment quality will be downgraded. To achieve a high manufacturing performance in as well as a certain quality level , the manufacturing parameters must be put under a permanent control . and the behavior of each parameter must be well known. This work consists of determining and analyzing the effect of sewing parameters upon the behavior of elastic fabric assembly. So we can attairi the best operating conditions for the cases under study. Those parameters are machine parameters, fabric parameters, and environment. The behavior of the elastic fabric assembly concern of, the assembly grade and properties, the performance of the garment within the utilization time. The present investigation has been aimed to deduce some technical and basic relations between the parameters and the resulted properties of seaming performance that will be helpful tools and guides to control the productivity as well as the quality level in the garment manufacturing process. Both woven and knitted fabrics were used in the present investigation, which gave the same trend but with different values. |
