Abstract
Some toxicological and pharamacological studies on silybum marianum and marjorana hortensis were carried out. The phyyochemical screening showed that silybum marianum extract was devoid of resin, while the extract of marjorana hortensis contains resin. Both plant extracts contain tannins, saponins, alkaloids, glycosides and
flavonoids.
