Abstract The present thesis is devoted to the Tri-generation which refers to the simultaneous generation of electricity, useful heating and useful cooling from the same original heat source such as fuel or solar energy. This thesis presents a new designed controller scheme for photovoltaic power generation system. The proposed PV controller scheme controls the battery charger in order to control the charging process of the battery. The controller is built up and tested in the laboratory to evaluate the feasibility of the system ensuring the battery protection against overcharge condition. This thesis deals also with design and implementation of a controller that protect lead acid batteries against discharge condition. A proper control strategy is proposed. This strategy is implemented by means of different electronic stages as well as the microcontroller. Experimental test is done to validate the proper operation of the controller and control strategy. The experimental results are recorded and discussed. |
