Abstract

Two separate experiments were carried out throughout two successive seasons of 2008 /2009 and 2009/2010 at the Experimental Farm in Sakha Horticultural Research Station, Kafr EL-Sheikh Governorate Egypt.
The experimental farms were conducted to study the effect of some foliar sprays of fulvic acid and seaweed extracts ”ROBIN PRO” with different doses of chemical fertilizer (NPK) on the vegetative growth , flowering, vase life bulbs yield and chemical composition of Pancratium maritimum ”sea daffodil”
The treatments of the first experiment were as follows:
1. ”control” as a full dose of NPK (100%) 2. 75%NPK +3cmf.A(fulvic acid)
3.50%NPK+5cmf.A 4. 25%NPK+7cmf.A
The treatments of the second experiment were as follows:
1. ”Control” as a full dose (100%) of NPK. 2. 75%NPK +1cm SW(seaweed )
3. 75%NPK +3cmS.W 4. 50%NPK +1cmS.W
5. 50%NPK +3cmS.W 6. 25%NPK+1cmS.W
7. 25%NPK +3cmS.W
Fulvic acid was applied at the rat of 3, 5, and 7cm/l of water as a foliar spray on plant leaves 3times, the first time was done after the complete Pancratium maritimum plant reached 10cm height, the second time after one month form the first one. The third one was applied after cutting flowers. for, Seaweed extract under trade name (Robin Pro Natura) was applied at the rat of 1and 3 cm/l on plant leaves 3times, as in fulvic acid. whereas, the chemical fertilization amount as N (3.22g/plant), P(6g/plant) and K(4g/plant) was divided into 3 equal doses, the first dose of them was added after the fourth leaf appearing. The second dose after one month from the first one and the third dose was added after cutting flowers.
The main results can be summarized as follows:
The first experiment:
The significantly highest parameters values of the vegetative growth (Plant height, leaf number/plant ,leaf area (cm2), leaves fresh and dry weights) flowering characters (flowering date, number of florets/stalk, inflorescence stem diameter (cm), inflorescence length (cm), inflorescence fresh and dry weight (g), pedicel length (cm), number of inflorescences/plant, floret diameter(cm), vase life (days), the bulbs production (Replaced bulb circumference (cm), number of bulbs/plant, bulbs fresh and dry weight (g)/plant), the chemical composition (chlorophyll a ,b and total ( mg/g f.w), total carbohydrates( mg/g d.w), N. P and K%) which had the highest values, resulted from the treatment of 75%NPK +3cmf.A(fulvic acid) after that the treatment of 50%NPK+5cmf.A in most cases in the two season.
The second experiment:
The significantly highest values of the same characters in the first experiment resulted from the treatment of 75%NPK +3cm Robin Pro in the two season in most cases.
