Abstract
Statement of the problem: As the nobility of the alloy increases, its bond strength decreases Purpose: Comparing the influence of different types of surface treatments on the retention of crowns made from two types of casting alloys. Materials and methods: Human extracted molar teeth were selected, prepared, cast after divided into two groups according to the metal types. Then was subdivided into two subgroups according to the type of surface treatment. Then the subgroups sub divided into 2 divisions according to alloy primer, cemented and were tested for retention. Conclusion: The combined use of the CoJet system and Alloy Primer is essential to improve the retentive bond strength of the alloys.
